About David

My Story

While growing up on the family farm in northeastern Iowa, back in the ‘50s and ‘60s, I learned the importance of honesty and integrity – that if I gave my word, I tried to keep it! Meanwhile, taking on numerous responsibilities, while accepting the consequences – whether they be positive or negative. All the while, holding my father and mother in high esteem.

I’ve also tried to follow the golden rule, ‘do unto others, as you would have them to do unto you.’ Plus, if I didn’t have something nice to say – I needn’t say anything at all! (My guide and inspiration, not surprisingly, for trying to live a morally, upright life, I found in the pages of the Bible!)

I’ll also admit, while I didn’t care for all the hard work, and numerous responsibilities that accompanies farm life, I very much treasured the lessons and values that were instilled on a daily basis! (Eventually, I ended up in the classroom as a teacher.)

Personal Life

Sad to say, after teaching for thirty-three years, while examining what’s
happening to society, I found those same values going ‘out the window with the bathwater’, which is why I have ‘chosen’ to write this series of books – in hope that they might help reinstate those misplaced precepts and principles, so that

“A ship – sailing haphazardly in the night, through shallow waters, will more than likely run aground, unless a course correction is quickly made!”
